Limkis is female Russian graphic design artist that I seen in several places on the web. Her art work just amazes me and I wanted to share a short collection of her vector artwork. Click on the pic below to start the slideshow.
Here is her short auto biography:
A sociable person, like working with people.
My art, my work is everything to me.
I like to think through the eyes of art, to plunge into color combinations.
I believe if a person isn’t developing, he’s slipping. It’s not enough just to keep at a high level, one needs to develop constantly, to work hard. That’s why there’s nothing better than a challenging work, which makes you exceed yourself.
Everything is for the better. Everything that happens to a person is for the better. I think the world likes us, but it doesn’t spoil us. It trains a person and polishes his character.
In short: a romantic person with somewhat philosophical views. Optimist.
Actually, that’s all I can say about myself.
I would like to avoid either praising myself, or criticizing.

Caryn began her career as a graphic designer and, along side her work on a range of prestigious graphic and web design projects, was a founding member of the Australian INfront online design collective. She eventually tired of madcap inner city Sydney and returned to the serenity of her home town Byron Bay. There, Gillespie revived her longstanding interest in fashion and transfered her graphic talent to clothing.
In 2002 Caryn enrolled in a Diploma of Textiles, Clothing and Footwear at the North Coast Institute of TAFE. She took out four awards in her graduating year, including The Fashion Students Vocations Club Award for best results in the state, The Fashion Student of the Year, The Arts & Media Faculty Award and the overall Student of the Year.
Her “Love Your Lawn” design featuring a cheeky kangaroo also won The Best Australian Memento in 2005, an award recognizing commercially viable craft, art and design for the tourist market. Although the tourist market is a clear niche for the design, its boldness and humour make it appealing to a broad section of the marketplace.
“My designs are always in some way an exploration of Australian culture, femininity and nature,” she says.

I thought I would post some Stats of this Blog for the Okizoo Crew and friends could see how we did for the month of January. These figures are for the Blog only.
I am sure some of you have noticed the Social Bookmarking Network Links at the bottom of post and more importantly the Okizoo Website and your wondering what the hell is up with it. Ugly and Out of place but I want to concentrate on SEO and dedicate the rest of February on optimizing the site. I made this so we could easily book mark our site on other sites to help build up traffic. All you gotta do is click on each of the pics and then save. Do it for as many of them as possible, and hopefully everyone can help out. We will compare the stats and see how much we improved. I’ll take it down February 28th or after everyone post our link up. Feel free to add all of our sections as listed on the Widget Side Bar “Okizoo Links”. Also, If you got your own Okizoo Site let me know and I’ll post it up.
The the Photo Gallery, well actually “Media Gallery”, just got updated with a ton of pics! Wish we had more of the parties, but we will need more people to either start posting or start sending us some pics to put up.
Anyone can become a user, and feel free to add pics to the appropriate Album. Also, make sure you start commenting and rating the pictures. You know, get a little more interactive with it.
You can start out with the Okinawan Graffiti Photo Album as there are plenty of pics to keep you occupied while you are at work or school. Eventually I’ll get in there and put the information about the artist that put these works of art down, but the majority of them are from: ROM, Spel, Masa, and Okizoo

Hey, not the best but it’s a simple layout that lets us easily add music to post and pages. It would be cool to get a podcast going. Might throw it over in the OZ Spit of The Day if we get some flows comin’ in.
If any one is savvy with photoshop they can edit the following photoshop file to find out what color to choose for the various parts. Currently you can only change the color. I found this the best way in choosing the colors of the player. Use the Color Overlay blending option for each layer to choose a color, and then send me the file or a list of each layers hexadecimal color. Did you get that?!
